Job Overview

The Social Care Leader CAMHS Louth role offers an excellent opportunity to join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services within HSE Dublin and North East. This permanent wholetime position is based across Louth/Meath and plays a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, child-centred mental health services.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Social Care Leader will support young people and families experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring safe, effective, and recovery-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards.
  • Promote a child-centred, strengths-based approach in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Engage effectively with families, carers, and external agencies.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and audit processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and professional records in line with statutory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Social Care or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Registration with CORU or eligibility to register, as required.
  • Significant experience working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team coordination experience.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and mental health frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Grade: Social Care Leader (3030).
  • Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime.
  • Salary: In line with HSE Social Care Leader salary scale (February 2026 consolidated pay scales), commensurate with experience.
