Job Overview
The Multi Task Attendant West Cork position offers an excellent opportunity to join Community Healthcare Area 10 (CHA 10) in HSE South West. This role supports patient and client care services across a range of hospital and community settings in West Cork.
Successful candidates will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and supportive environment for patients, residents and healthcare staff while delivering essential non-clinical support services.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide general support services to patient and residential care areas
- • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout assigned areas
- • Assist with patient movement and non-clinical support tasks as required
- • Support catering and meal distribution services where necessary
- • Ensure safe handling and disposal of waste and linen
- • Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures
- • Work collaboratively with nursing and healthcare teams
- • Follow all HSE policies, procedures and health & safety guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Previous experience in a healthcare or support environment is desirable
- • Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards
- • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Flexible approach to shift patterns and service needs

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
The salary scale for this position ranges from €36,288 to €45,484 per annum, in line with the approved HSE Attendant – Multi-Task Grade 6015 pay scale.
Posts are available on a Permanent Part-time, Permanent Wholetime, Specified Purpose Part-time and Specified Purpose Wholetime basis. Working hours will be determined at the expression of interest stage.
