The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Waterford opportunity at University Hospital Waterford offers an exciting leadership role within the Surgical and Orthopaedics service. Key Responsibilities
- • Provide professional and clinical leadership within the Surgical / Orthopaedics unit.
- • Manage and coordinate nursing services to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- • Support and supervise nursing staff, promoting professional development.
- • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, clinical governance standards, and best practice guidelines.
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient pathways and outcomes.
- • Monitor staffing levels, rostering, and resource allocation.
- • Participate in audit, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- • Minimum required clinical experience in an acute hospital setting.
- • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
- • Experience in Surgical and/or Orthopaedic nursing is highly desirable.
- • Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- • Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence.
