The Care Assistant Disability Services Mayo role offers a rewarding opportunity to support individuals in community and residential settings across Mayo Community Living. This permanent whole-time position plays a vital role in delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and inclusion.
Working across services in Co. Mayo, you will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve meaningful outcomes in daily living and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide high-quality, person-centred care in community and residential settings
- • Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care
- • Promote independence, inclusion, and active community participation
- • Assist with care planning and implementation of individual support plans
- • Maintain accurate records in line with HSE standards and policies
- • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- • Drive HSE-owned vehicles where required to support service users
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in a healthcare setting (community or residential)
- • Experience providing direct care and support to individuals
- • Full clean Category B driving licence (Manual Vehicles) – essential
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €34,536 – €47,954 (LSI applicable)

Location & Employer Information
This position is based in Mayo Community Living, Co. Mayo, within the HSE West and North West health region. There are currently a number of permanent whole-time vacancies across services in County Mayo.
HSE West and North West covers Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo, and Galway, delivering essential health and social care services across the region.
