The Health Care Assistant Staff Bank Dublin opportunity at St. Columcille’s Hospital offers flexible “if and when” employment within a busy acute hospital setting. This role supports nursing and clinical teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Healthcare Assistants who have worked in an acute setting within the last 12 months and are seeking flexible shifts across HSE Dublin and South East.
Key Responsibilities
- • Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility and nutrition
- • Support nursing staff in delivering safe and effective patient care
- • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to clinical staff
- • Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients
- • Assist with moving and handling in line with hospital policies
- • Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with HSE standards
- • Adhere to infection prevention and control guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in an acute setting within the last 12 months (essential)
- • Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- • Flexibility to work shifts as required under the Staff Bank model
- • Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
