Job Overview
The Healthcare Assistant Dublin role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic acute healthcare setting within the Dublin and Midlands Region. This permanent wholetime position involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care to patients while supporting nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
This role is ideal for candidates who can demonstrate depth and breadth of employment in an acute healthcare setting providing direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide direct care and support to patients in an acute healthcare environment
- • Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities
- • Support nursing staff in clinical and non-clinical duties
- • Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to the nursing team
- • Maintain accurate documentation in line with HSE policies
- • Promote patient dignity, privacy, and independence at all times
- • Adhere to infection prevention and control guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Demonstrated experience working in an acute healthcare setting
- • Proven ability to provide direct patient care

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €36,288 – €45,484 per annum (incremental scale applies).
This is a permanent wholetime position within the HSE Dublin and Midlands Region. Successful candidates will benefit from public sector terms and conditions, including annual leave entitlements, pension scheme, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
Location & Employer Information
This position is based in Dublin South within the Dublin and Midlands Region, covering Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Laois, Kildare, and parts of Dublin South and Wicklow.
