The Staff Nurse South East opportunity offers flexible “if and when” employment across multiple community hospitals and residential centres within the HSE Dublin and South East region. This Staff Bank panel provides experienced nurses with the opportunity to work in a variety of settings while supporting high-quality patient care across Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Wexford and Waterford.
This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is ideal for qualified nurses seeking adaptable working arrangements within public healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with HSE standards and policies
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within community and residential settings
- Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure infection prevention and control standards are upheld
- Support patients, residents and families with compassion and professionalism
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available to commence employment within 60 days of receipt of a formal offer (desirable)
