This Clinical Nurse Specialist Roscommon role offers an excellent opportunity to work within specialist palliative care services, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in the community. Based in Roscommon Palliative Care Services, this part-time position focuses on improving quality of life for patients with life-limiting conditions. You will play a key role in advancing clinical practice, supporting patients and families, and contributing to service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist palliative nursing care to patients in community settings
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans
- Support patients and families through complex care needs and end-of-life care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across healthcare services
- Promote best practice and evidence-based care in palliative nursing
- Deliver education and support to staff and carers
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Significant clinical experience in specialist palliative care nursing
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in palliative care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This role offers a salary scale ranging from €62,078 to €78,443, in line with HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist pay grades, with Long Service Increments (LSI) applicable. The position is permanent part-time (0.5 WTE), working 18.75 hours per week.
