Job Overview
Mayo University Hospital is recruiting a permanent, full-time Chief II Pharmacist to lead clinical pharmacy services in oncology, haematology, and aseptic compounding. Open to HSE and non-HSE applicants, this senior position offers an opportunity to drive service quality and innovation in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services in oncology, haematology, and aseptic pharmacy.
- Lead and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and service delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care pathways.
- Provide professional leadership and mentorship to pharmacy staff.
- Contribute to policy development and compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Requirements
- Significant hospital pharmacy experience, including clinical and service delivery responsibilities.
- Proven track record in quality improvement projects.
- Ability to lead and develop pharmacy teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Eligibility to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
Desirable
- Experience in oncology, haematology, or aseptic services (preferred but not essential).
- Leadership or management training.
