The Staff Nurse Sligo University Hospital role offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy theatre team within a leading acute hospital in the North West. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within the theatre setting, contributing to safe surgical services and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within the theatre environment
- Assist in perioperative care including pre-operative and post-operative support
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support the implementation of hospital policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Experience in a theatre or acute hospital setting is desirable
- Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is based on the HSE Staff Nurse scale:
€37,788 – €56,032 (LSI applicable)
