The Assistant Director of Nursing Patient Flow role at St Columcille’s Hospital offers an opportunity to lead and optimise patient flow within a busy acute healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities
- • Lead and manage patient flow strategies across the hospital
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- • Oversee bed management and discharge planning processes
- • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and quality standards
- • Support service planning and operational decision-making
- • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements
- • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
- • Significant experience in nursing leadership or management
- • Proven experience in patient flow, bed management, or similar roles
- • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- • Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex healthcare environment
- • Relevant postgraduate qualification desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
The salary for this role ranges from €68,493 to €82,015 annually, in line with the Director of Nursing 2 – Assistant scale. This is a permanent, full-time position with standard HSE working hours.
