The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Cashel role offers an excellent leadership opportunity within the Cashel Injury Unit. This position focuses on delivering high-quality urgent and emergency care while managing clinical teams effectively. You will play a key role in patient care delivery, staff leadership, and service development within a dynamic HSE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership within the injury unit setting
- Manage and coordinate nursing staff and resources efficiently
- Oversee triage, patient assessment, and care delivery processes
- Ensure high standards in wound care and plastering practices
- Support and deliver clinical teaching and mentoring
- Maintain compliance with clinical governance and safety standards
- Utilise IT systems including MS Office, IPMS, and NIMIS
- Contribute to service improvement and patient care initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with relevant professional registration
- Significant experience in Emergency Nursing or Urgent Care
- Experience in Minor Injuries Units or stand-alone LIU settings
- Formal training in triage is essential
- Proven experience in wound care and plastering techniques
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management ability
- Experience in clinical teaching and mentoring
- Strong IT skills including healthcare systems and MS Office
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale ranges from €62,078 to €78,443 depending on experience, in line with HSE pay structures. This is a permanent whole-time position offering job security, public sector pension, annual leave entitlements, and opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression.
Location & Employer Information
This role is based in Cashel Injury Unit, Our Lady’s Campus, Cashel, Co. Tipperary (South). The position is part of HSE Dublin and South East, covering regions including Tipperary South, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, Wicklow, and part of South Dublin. The unit provides urgent care services in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.
