Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist anaesthesia services across a wide range of surgical disciplines
- Deliver high-quality perioperative care to patients in Cork University Hospital
- Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Engage in clinical research and academic development within University College Cork
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in service development, quality improvement, and governance initiatives
- Maintain compliance with professional standards and HSE clinical guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full registration with the Irish Medical Council in the Specialist Division (Anaesthesia)
- Significant experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist
- Proven academic experience in teaching and research
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This role offers competitive pay in line with HSE Consultant salary scales. The position is a permanent wholetime contract, split evenly with 18.5 hours per week at Cork University Hospital and 18.5 hours per week at University College Cork.
