This Clinical Nurse Manager 1 role in the Emergency Department at Letterkenny University Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership position within a busy acute care setting. This is a permanent wholetime position within the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
- • Lead and manage nursing staff within the Emergency Department
- • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care
- • Support clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- • Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation in a fast-paced environment
- • Provide mentorship and professional support to nursing staff
- • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Registered General Nurse with active registration with NMBI
- • Minimum relevant clinical experience in an acute hospital setting
- • Previous leadership or supervisory experience desirable
- • Strong communication and organisational skills
- • Ability to work effectively under pressure in an emergency care environment
- • Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale ranges from €57,208 to €67,372 per annum, depending on experience. This is a permanent wholetime role with standard HSE working hours. Benefits include public sector pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
