Job Overview

This Clinical Nurse Specialist Cork University Hospital role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in anticoagulation care within a leading acute hospital setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing care in anticoagulation management
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care programmes
  • Monitor patients receiving anticoagulant therapy and adjust care plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on anticoagulation therapy and safety
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Participate in clinical audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support training and development of nursing staff

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Relevant post-registration experience in acute care settings
  • Experience or strong interest in anticoagulation therapy
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum

Salary is aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate pay scale and will be based on experience and service.

Working Hours: Permanent Wholetime position
