Job Overview
The Medical HR Manpower Manager (Grade VIII) plays a critical leadership role within Louth Hospitals, overseeing the strategic and operational management of medical workforce services across the Dublin North East region. This position is central to ensuring effective staffing, workforce planning, and HR governance to support high-quality patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to influence healthcare delivery through leadership in recruitment, retention, employee relations, and organisational development within a dynamic and evolving health service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and strategic planning of medical manpower services across Louth Hospitals
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and workforce planning initiatives
- Manage HR operations including payroll, employee relations, and staff engagement
- Provide expert guidance on HSE HR policies and governance
- Support organisational change, leadership development, and service reform initiatives
- Drive performance management and learning & development programmes
- Contribute to strategic HR projects aligned with Sláintecare priorities
- Ensure delivery of patient-centred services through effective workforce management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant experience in HR management, ideally within healthcare or public sector
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Proven experience in workforce planning and organisational development
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and governance frameworks
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead change and support transformation initiatives
- Relevant third-level qualification in HR or related discipline (desirable)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €83,081 – €100,205 per annum (incremental scale)
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime
