Job Overview

Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join its compassionate care team in Harold’s Cross and Blackrock. This permanent whole-time role offers an opportunity to support patients with dignity and respect in a specialist care environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care to patients in line with best practice standards
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
  • Support nursing staff in the delivery of clinical care
  • Maintain accurate records and report any changes in patient condition
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
  • Promote dignity, privacy, and independence at all times
  • Engage with patients and families in a compassionate and respectful manner

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts as required

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary scale: €36,288 – €45,484 per annum (based on experience and incremental scale).
Permanent wholetime contract with structured working hours.
Benefits may include annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
