Job Overview
Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Nurse Theatre to join its surgical team. This is a permanent whole-time opportunity within a busy acute hospital environment, offering the chance to develop specialist theatre nursing skills while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre environment
- Support surgical teams during procedures, ensuring patient safety and dignity at all times
- Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively and respond to clinical needs appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with HSE standards
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies within the theatre setting
- Participate in continuous professional development and training
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum of two years relevant post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital
- Previous theatre nursing experience is essential
- Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €37,788 – €56,032 per annum (based on HSE Staff Nurse pay scale, dependent on experience)
Permanent Wholetime position

Working hours will be in line with theatre service requirements, including shift work
