Key Responsibilities
- Perform venepuncture procedures safely and efficiently across hospital departments
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labelling procedures
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards at all times
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care during blood collection procedures
- Work collaboratively with laboratory, nursing, and medical teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with hospital policies
- Support quality assurance procedures within the phlebotomy service
- Adhere to HSE guidelines, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements

- Relevant phlebotomy training and clinical experience

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary for this Phlebotomist position will be aligned with HSE pay scales for Grade 3425. The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis within Galway University Hospitals.
