Role Overview
As a Domestic at Mallow General Hospital, you will carry out essential cleaning and hygiene duties across the hospital environment. Your work will directly support infection prevention, patient dignity, and the overall standard of care delivered at the facility. This is a permanent, wholetime post within the HSE South West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining wards, corridors, patient areas, and ancillary spaces to the required hygiene standard.
- Following infection prevention and control protocols at all times.
- Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in accordance with HSE guidelines.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Supporting the wider facilities and support services team as required.

Salary & Contract
€35,082 – €41,283 per annum (HSE Domestic scale, 9-point scale), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 February 2026. This is a permanent, wholetime post.
