Cork University Hospital is recruiting a Radiographer (Staff Grade) on a permanent, wholetime basis. Role Overview
As a Staff Grade Radiographer at Cork University Hospital, you will deliver a full range of radiographic services as part of a dynamic and well-resourced Radiography Department. Working within a multidisciplinary clinical environment, you will play a central role in supporting patient diagnosis, treatment, and care. This is a supplementary campaign for post CUHRG99167.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations to the highest clinical standard, ensuring patient safety and dignity at all times.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with current legislation, HSE policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to the delivery of an efficient, patient-centred imaging service across relevant modalities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance programmes, audit, and continuing professional development activities.
- Work collaboratively with radiographers, radiologists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
- Adhere to radiation protection principles and all relevant health and safety obligations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold a qualification in Radiography that is recognised by CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council).
- Be registered, or be eligible for registration, with CORU as a Radiographer.
- Demonstrate the competencies, knowledge, and skills required to fulfil the duties of the role at the required grade.
- Meet the health and character standards as required by the HSE.

Salary
This post is remunerated at the Radiographer (Grade Code 3093) pay scale. With effect from 1 June 2026, the salary scale is €44,956 – €64,235 per annum (14-point scale, including Long Service Increments). New appointees will be placed on the scale in accordance with HSE pay and incremental policy.
Location
Cork University Hospital (CUH) is a major tertiary referral centre and the largest acute hospital in Ireland, serving a population across Cork, Kerry, and beyond. The Radiography Department operates across a broad range of imaging modalities and is integral to the hospital’s clinical services. The post is based on-site at CUH, Cork.
