The HSE Technology & Transformation (T&T) directorate is seeking an experienced Grade VII ICT Project Manager to join its national team. This is a permanent, wholetime opportunity for a driven project professional to contribute to the delivery of complex ICT programmes that support frontline health services across Ireland. The successful candidate will be based at one of T&T’s established hub offices nationwide.
About the Role
Working within the HSE’s Technology & Transformation directorate, the Grade VII ICT Project Manager will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering ICT projects in a fast-paced, nationally distributed environment. The post holder will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, system owners, and delivery partners to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
T&T is responsible for driving digital transformation across the Irish health service, and this role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful, large-scale projects with direct impact on patient services and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

- Managing and coordinating ICT project delivery from initiation through to completion.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders and delivery partners across the organisation.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing appropriate mitigations.
- Preparing and maintaining project plans, status reports, and related documentation.
- Liaising with technical and non-technical teams to facilitate effective project communication.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of project management practices within the T&T function.
Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience working as part of a project team, with the ability to outline the project work undertaken and delivered.
- Experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
€61,219 – €74,251 per annum (HSE Grade VII Clerical scale, 11-point scale, plus Long Service Increments to €79,583 where applicable). Salary is based on the HSE Consolidated Pay Scales effective 1 June 2026. New appointees will commence at the minimum of the scale in accordance with HSE pay policy.
