HSE Technology and Transformation is recruiting a Grade VI Finance and Human Resource Support officer to join its national administrative function. This is a senior clerical role operating across a multi-site, nationally dispersed team, with responsibility for delivering accurate, timely finance or HR support in a complex, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will bring analytical rigour, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities without compromising on quality or compliance.
Role Overview
Working within the Technology and Transformation directorate, the Grade VI will provide specialist administrative support in either a Finance or Human Resources capacity — or both, depending on the candidate’s experience. The role demands a high degree of accuracy in data management and reporting, with outputs informing senior management and key stakeholders across the HSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyse, and report on financial or HR data, producing clear summary reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Extract and consolidate data from multiple systems, including SAP or equivalent ERP platforms (Finance stream).
- Manage and collate HR data, producing detailed reports to support workforce decision-making (HR stream).
- Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams, managing competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
- Contribute to process improvement and the delivery of high-quality administrative outputs within agreed timeframes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate experience in at least one of the following areas:
A. Finance
- Significant experience in a busy finance environment, including preparation, reporting, and analysis of financial data.
- Experience producing summary reports and extracting data from multiple sources.
- Proficiency with SAP or an equivalent ERP financial system.
OR
B. Human Resources
- Significant experience in a complex Human Resources department.
- Proven ability to manage and collate HR data, producing detailed reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
All candidates must also demonstrate:
- Significant experience managing competing demands and overseeing multiple concurrent pieces of work while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across complex organisational structures.
Salary
€58,477 – €69,056 per annum (HSE Grade VI Clerical scale, 7-point scale, plus Long Service Increment of €71,442 where applicable). Based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026. Placement on scale is in accordance with HSE incremental credit policy.

Contract Type
Permanent Wholetime and Specified Purpose Part-Time posts are available. Part-time salary is pro-rata to the scale above.
