Corlann Disability Services is seeking to recruit a Staff Nurse for a temporary full-time Specified Purpose contract based in the Galway City area. This Section 38 organisation provides publicly funded disability services and is inviting applications from both HSE and non-HSE candidates who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work within Corlann Disability Services supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve the highest possible standards of health, wellbeing, independence and quality of life. The Staff Nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, families and carers to provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Support service users to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Promote safeguarding, infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in service development and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary disability service.
- A commitment to person-centred care and continuous professional development.
Salary
€38,166 – €54,956 per annum (HSE Staff Nurse Grade 2135, 13-point scale, plus Long Service Increment where applicable).
