Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Solution Architect with HSE Ireland, you will:

• Lead solution architecture design across complex healthcare technology environments
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within Ireland’s healthcare system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across distributed HSE locations
• Design and implement solutions in heterogeneous technology environments
• Provide technical leadership in application development and middleware solutions
• Support business information systems and database management operations
• Ensure architectural solutions align with HSE’s strategic technology objectives
• Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Significant experience in at least two of the following disciplines:
  • Solution or technical architecture
  • Application development
  • Business information systems
  • Middleware technologies
  • Information analysis
  • Database management
  • Operations in multitier environments
• Substantial experience in senior industry architecture roles, preferably in healthcare or life sciences, with a focus on digital transformation
• Proven experience working in complex distributed multi-party environments
• Demonstrated expertise working across heterogeneous technology environments and technologies
• Strong understanding of healthcare technology challenges and opportunities in Ireland
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel between HSE locations across Ireland as required

Desirable Qualifications:

• Relevant Irish or international professional qualifications (QQI Level 8+ or equivalent)
• Professional membership with relevant Irish technology bodies
• Experience with Irish healthcare systems and regulations
• Knowledge of Irish data protection and healthcare compliance requirements
