Senior OT Mental Health – Louth & Meath | HSE

HSE Dublin and North East is seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Adult and CAMHS Mental Health teams across Louth and Meath. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to provide specialist mental health services across adult and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in the Dublin North East region. You will play a crucial role in delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions while leading clinical initiatives and supporting service development in Louth and Meath counties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults and young people with mental health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead clinical initiatives and contribute to service development within Adult and CAMHS Mental Health Services
  • Supervise and mentor junior occupational therapy staff and students
  • Participate in risk assessment and management procedures for complex mental health cases
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement
  • Collaborate with community partners and agencies to ensure continuity of care

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Registration or eligibility for registration on the CORU Occupational Therapists Register
  • Minimum three years full-time post-qualification clinical experience in occupational therapy
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability for mental health occupational therapy practice
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in mental health services, particularly Adult or CAMHS settings
  • Knowledge of Irish mental health legislation and HSE policies
  • Experience in supervision, mentoring, or teaching roles
  • Additional qualifications in mental health, psychology, or related fields
  • Demonstrated leadership and service development experience
