As Catering Supervisor at Sligo University Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality food service delivery to patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage the catering team to deliver exceptional food service standards
- Oversee daily catering operations ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate meal planning and preparation for patients with diverse dietary requirements
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and nutritional standards across all service areas
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and cost-effective resource utilization
- Implement and maintain HACCP protocols and food safety procedures
- Liaise with clinical teams to accommodate special dietary needs and requirements
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in catering supervision or food service management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of healthcare catering requirements and dietary needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualifications in catering, food service management, or related field
- Experience in healthcare or institutional catering environments
- Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures
- Additional training in nutrition or dietetics
- Supervisory or management certification
