An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced physician to take up the role of Associate Specialist in Medicine at Wexford General Hospital. This senior non-consultant post plays a key role in delivering high-quality acute medical care within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

The position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers the chance to work within a respected regional hospital serving the South East.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior clinical care to medical inpatients and support acute medical services
• Work collaboratively with Consultant Physicians and NCHD teams
• Participate in diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management
• Support junior doctors through clinical supervision and teaching
• Contribute to service development, audit, and clinical governance activities
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree in Medicine
• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• IELTS or OET (where applicable)
• Relevant post-registration experience in Irish or UK medical settings only
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
