Health Service Executive Mid West is inviting applications for a BSc Pre-Registration Student Nurse to join its nursing workforce in Limerick. This permanent whole-time opportunity supports student nurses undertaking their pre-registration clinical internship while developing essential professional competencies within a supportive learning environment.

This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and forms a critical pathway to professional nursing registration.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in supervised clinical practice in line with the NMBI internship requirements
• Deliver person-centred care under the guidance of registered nursing staff
• Apply evidence-based nursing principles in daily practice
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
• Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
• Engage in reflective practice and continuous learning
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Enrolment in an approved BSc General Nursing programme
• Eligibility to undertake the pre-registration internship
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to professional and ethical nursing practice
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Satisfactory Garda Vetting and occupational health clearance
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with Student General Nursing Intern (Pre-Registration) Grade 2931 HSE pay scales
• Contract: Permanent Whole-Time
