The Health Service Executive is seeking a Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist (Neuro Rehabilitation) to join the Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team serving Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. This permanent, whole-time role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to specialist neuro-rehabilitation services while progressing on the CNS pathway within a multidisciplinary community setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist nursing care to adults with neurological conditions in community settings
• Contribute to comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation assessment, planning and evaluation
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary neuro-rehabilitation team
• Support service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Provide specialist clinical advice and education to patients, families and colleagues
• Participate in audit, research and service evaluation activities relevant to neuro-rehabilitation
• Maintain professional competence and meet requirements for progression to CNS status
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience working with adults with neurological conditions
• Experience in a neuro-rehabilitation setting and/or specialist neuro-rehabilitation service
• Evidence of postgraduate education or training relevant to neuro-rehabilitation (desirable)
• Experience in service development, quality improvement or practice improvement initiatives
• Eligibility and commitment to apply for entry onto the Interim ONMSD CNS Database

• Salary in line with HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (General) Grade 2697 pay scale (1 August 2025 rates apply)
