The Cardiac Physiologist Staff Grade Sligo role offers an excellent opportunity to join HSE West and North West in a permanent wholetime capacity. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostic services, supporting patient care through advanced cardiovascular testing and analysis.
This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is ideal for a motivated cardiac physiologist seeking career progression in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and interpret 12-lead ECGs
• Conduct and analyse Exercise Stress Testing
• Analyse Holter monitoring and 24-hour Blood Pressure recordings
• Interpret data relating to Pacemakers, ICDs and Loop Recorders
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
• Work collaboratively with cardiology and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant qualification in Clinical Measurement Physiology or equivalent
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in cardiac investigations
• Proven competence in ECG, Exercise Stress Testing, Holter and 24-hour BP analysis
• Experience interpreting Pacemaker, ICD and Loop Recorder data
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
