Mayo University Hospital is seeking applications for a Cardiology Registrar commencing July 2026. This is a fixed-term, whole-time post within the HSE West and North West region, offering valuable specialist cardiology experience in a busy acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide registrar-level clinical care in cardiology services
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient cardiology management
• Support consultants in diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Contribute to on-call and emergency cardiology rotas
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Participate in teaching, audit, and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) at time of application
• Valid English language qualification (IELTS or OET) where applicable
• 1–2 years’ experience in the specialty of Cardiology
• BLS and ACLS certification
• MRCP or MRCPI examinations are desirable
• Applicants who completed the International Medical Graduate Training Initiative (Pakistan & Sudan) must have returned to their home country for a minimum of 12 months post-programme

• Salary in line with HSE Registrar (Medicine) Grade 1530 consolidated pay scales
• Fixed-term whole-time contract
