A permanent whole-time opportunity is available for a Care Assistant within Intellectual Disability Services in the Cavan–Monaghan area. This role supports individuals to live meaningful, safe, and independent lives within community-based services. The post is part of HSE Dublin and North East and is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centred care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Assist service users with personal care, mobility, and social inclusion activities
• Promote independence, dignity, and choice in line with individual care plans
• Support healthcare and nursing staff in delivering high-quality services
• Maintain accurate records and report changes in service user needs
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, HIQA standards, and safeguarding procedures
• Participate in team meetings, training, and service development initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent (or willingness to complete)
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts
• Full clean driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary: In line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (August 2025)
