An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Development Coordinator (CNM3) within Cork Residential Services for Older People. This senior nursing role plays a pivotal part in advancing clinical governance, quality, and professional nursing practice across residential services in HSE South West.

The post holder will work collaboratively with senior nursing and multidisciplinary teams to enhance standards of care, education, and evidence-based practice for older persons.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic clinical leadership in nursing and midwifery practice development
• Lead and support quality improvement, audit, and clinical governance initiatives
• Promote evidence-based practice across Residential Services for Older People
• Support workforce education, competency development, and mentorship
• Collaborate with Directors of Nursing, Practice Development teams, and service managers
• Contribute to service planning, policy development, and change management
• Ensure compliance with HSE, HIQA, and professional regulatory standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by NMBI
• Relevant postgraduate qualification at Level 9 or higher (essential)
• Significant post-registration clinical and leadership experience at senior level
• Demonstrated experience in practice development, education, or quality improvement
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Proven ability to lead service improvement in complex healthcare settings
