University Hospital Limerick is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to provide strong clinical and professional leadership within its busy Emergency Department. This permanent, whole-time role offers the opportunity to lead high-quality, patient-centred emergency nursing services while contributing to service development and staff progression. The position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Emergency Department
• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care
• Manage and support nursing staff, including rostering and performance management
• Promote quality improvement, audit, and risk management initiatives
• Support education, training, and continuous professional development of staff
• Contribute to service planning and operational management
• Maintain compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum post-registration experience as required for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 roles
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience in an acute or emergency setting
• Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working abilities
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Code 2119)
• Salary Scale (1 August 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable), in line with HSE consolidated pay scales
• Contract: Permanent Whole-Time
