Connolly Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Pre-Assessment) to provide clinical and professional leadership within the pre-assessment and pre-admission service. This role is central to ensuring safe, effective, and timely preparation of patients undergoing surgical procedures, working closely with theatre, anaesthetics, and surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership and operational management of the Pre-Assessment service
• Ensure high standards of patient-centred care and clinical governance
• Coordinate and manage patient pre-admission pathways for elective surgery
• Collaborate closely with anaesthetics, theatre, and surgical nursing teams
• Supervise, support, and develop nursing staff within the service
• Monitor quality, safety, and performance indicators
• Contribute to service planning, audit, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Significant post-registration experience in pre-assessment, pre-admission, theatre, anaesthetics, or surgical nursing
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience at senior nursing level
• Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in quality improvement and clinical audit is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (Clinical Nurse Manager 2 scale, subject to increments)
• Contract: Specified Purpose, Whole-time
