Cork University Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead and manage nursing services within the Safari Unit. This permanent, whole-time post offers an opportunity to provide clinical leadership, ensure high standards of patient care, and contribute to service development within a major acute teaching hospital.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing staff in the Safari Unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care
• Manage staffing, rostering, and resource allocation effectively
• Support clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support nursing staff in professional development
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
• Contribute to policy development and service planning
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by NMBI
• Minimum post-registration experience as outlined in the official Job Specification
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience at CNM1 or equivalent level
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Desirable: relevant management or leadership qualification
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable), in line with HSE consolidated pay scales effective 1 August 2025
• Contract: Permanent, Whole-Time
