Job Overview

The successful candidate will work within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in North Galway, supporting the delivery of specialist mental health nursing services to young people and their families. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist mental health nursing care to children and adolescents within CAMHS services.
  • Support assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation for young service users.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse with active registration maintained with NMBI.
  • Significant experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing.
  • Demonstrated depth and breadth of mental health nursing expertise.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple professional services and disciplines.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and clinical leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt within a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary will be aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health) Grade 2625 pay scale. This is a permanent whole-time position offering access to public sector benefits including annual leave, pension scheme participation, continuous professional development, and career progression opportunities within HSE West and North West.

Working arrangements will support collaborative multidisciplinary practice within CAMHS services across the region.
