Job Overview
The successful candidate will work within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in North Galway, supporting the delivery of specialist mental health nursing services to young people and their families. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary professionals across various healthcare and community services to ensure high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.
A panel may be formed from this campaign to fill future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full-time or part-time duration across Galway, Roscommon, and Mayo Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist mental health nursing care to children and adolescents within CAMHS services.
- Support assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation for young service users.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare professionals.
- Deliver evidence-based clinical interventions and therapeutic support.
- Promote best practice standards in child and adolescent mental health nursing.
- Support families and carers throughout treatment and recovery pathways.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse with active registration maintained with NMBI.
- Significant experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of mental health nursing expertise.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple professional services and disciplines.
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt within a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary will be aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health) Grade 2625 pay scale.
