A permanent whole-time opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health Liaison Psychiatry) to join Mental Health Services in Dublin North. This role plays a key part in delivering specialist mental health assessment, liaison, and intervention within acute and community settings. The position offers an opportunity to work at an advanced clinical level while contributing to service development and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist mental health assessments and interventions within liaison psychiatry services
• Act as an expert clinical resource for multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate and facilitate integrated care pathways for service users
• Support evidence-based practice, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to education, supervision, and clinical support of nursing staff
• Participate in service planning and development in line with national mental health policy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Psychiatric Nurse on the NMBI register
• Post-registration qualification relevant to mental health nursing
• Minimum experience requirements as outlined in the Job Specification
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment and liaison psychiatry
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Desirable: experience in acute hospital liaison settings

• Salary: In line with HSE consolidated salary scales (1 August 2025)
