University Hospital Limerick is seeking an experienced Clinical Skills Facilitator Paediatrics (CNM2) to lead and support paediatric clinical education across the service. This pivotal role focuses on advancing clinical competence, patient safety, and evidence-based practice for nursing staff within paediatrics.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate paediatric clinical skills education programmes
• Facilitate simulation-based learning and bedside teaching
• Support implementation of national and local paediatric clinical guidelines
• Mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance clinical competence
• Audit and evaluate clinical practice and skills outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and nurse management
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development and safety
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Children’s Nurse (RSCN/RGN with paediatric qualification) with NMBI
• Minimum required post-registration experience including paediatric practice
• Eligibility for appointment at Clinical Nurse Manager 2 level
• Demonstrated experience in clinical education, facilitation, or practice development
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Evidence of continuing professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 pay scale (Grade 2119) in line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025)
• Indicative Range: €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (including LSI points, subject to eligibility)
• Benefits: Public service pension, annual leave, paid CPD, and access to HSE employee supports
• Hours: Wholetime, Monday to Friday (service needs dependent)
