HSE Dublin and North East is recruiting a permanent, whole-time Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to support high-quality disability services across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a specialist clinical leadership role, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care and contribute to service development across Dublin North, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical expertise, specialist assessment and intervention, while supporting service improvement, education, quality initiatives and evidence-based practice. The role offers the opportunity to influence service delivery and improve outcomes for people accessing disability services throughout the HSE Dublin and North East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention.
- Deliver evidence-based, person-centred clinical care.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide clinical leadership and professional guidance.
- Support service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.
- Participate in audit, education and continuous professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with HSE policies and professional standards.
Requirements
- Meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the official HSE Job Specification.
- Be eligible for registration with CORU where applicable.
- Demonstrate the knowledge, experience and competencies required for a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist role.
- Possess excellent communication, leadership and multidisciplinary working skills.
Salary
€72,119 – €83,689 per annum (HSE Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist Grade 3824, 9-point scale, plus Long Service Increments where applicable), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

This position is based within HSE Dublin and North East and may be assigned across services in Dublin North, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan, supporting regional disability services and delivering specialist occupational therapy expertise where required.
