Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is recruiting Community Facilitators to support adults with intellectual disabilities within Day Services across Cork City and surrounding suburbs. This permanent role focuses on promoting independence, community inclusion, and person-centred supports in line with organisational values.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate person-centred day programmes tailored to individual needs
- Support service users to develop life skills, social participation, and independence
- Promote community inclusion through meaningful activities and engagement
- Implement individual support plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service planning
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external agencies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in social care, community development, or related discipline
- Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities is desirable
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Commitment to person-centred and rights-based practice
- Flexibility to work across Cork City and suburban locations
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor (6425)
- Salary: In line with Section 38 consolidated pay scales (1 August 2025 rates)
- Contract: Permanent Wholetime, with part-time and relief opportunities available
- Hours: Full-time 39 hours per week (pro-rata for part-time)
