This role is for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist based with CAMHS in Wexford.
You will provide specialist psychiatric care to children and young people while working as part of a senior multidisciplinary team within community mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents
• Lead clinical decision-making within the CAMHS team
• Work closely with nursing, psychology, social work, and therapy colleagues
• Support service planning and clinical governance
• Take part in service development and quality improvement
• Provide supervision and support to junior medical staff where required
• Engage with families, carers, and external agencies
• Participate in agreed on-call arrangements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential
• Registration on the Specialist Register of the Medical Council of Ireland in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Eligibility to work as a Consultant in the Irish public health service
• Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
Desirable
• Experience working in community CAMHS settings
• Experience in service development or clinical leadership roles

• Salary in line with the HSE Consultant salary scale (Medical & Dental)
• Permanent whole-time contract

The post is based with Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Wexford, within the HSE Dublin and South East region.
