An exceptional consultant-level opportunity is available for a Consultant Neurologist delivering specialist neurological services across Letterkenny University Hospital and Sligo University Hospital. This senior post plays a pivotal role in shaping neurological care across the HSE West and North West region, combining clinical excellence with leadership and service development.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive consultant-led neurology services across both hospital sites
• Lead diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of complex neurological conditions
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and regional care pathways
• Supervise and support NCHDs and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Contribute to service planning, audit, research, and clinical governance
• Participate in on-call and emergency neurology rotas as required
• Uphold patient safety, quality standards, and HSE clinical policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration (or eligibility for registration) on the Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council in Neurology
• Demonstrated experience at consultant or equivalent senior specialist level
• Strong leadership, clinical decision-making, and communication skills
• Proven commitment to clinical governance, teaching, and service improvement
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
