This senior role offers clinical leadership, service development, and meaningful impact within acute and community care settings.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver consultant-level clinical care in geriatric and general medicine
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community interfaces
• Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and governance
• Participate in on-call and acute medical services as required
• Support education, supervision, and mentoring of NCHDs and trainees
• Engage in audit, research, and continuous service development
• Collaborate with regional and national HSE programmes for older persons
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland in Geriatric Medicine
• Fellowship or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive geriatric assessment
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care
• Eligibility to work in Ireland at consultant level
