University Hospital Waterford is inviting applications for a Consultant Radiologist Waterford post with a special interest in Paediatric Radiology. This is a permanent, whole-time consultant appointment (37 hours per week) within the HSE Dublin and South East region, offering an opportunity to work at senior clinical level in a busy acute hospital setting.

The role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and plays a key part in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services for paediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level diagnostic radiology services with a focus on paediatric imaging
• Lead and contribute to high-quality, safe, and patient-centred paediatric radiology services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical decision-making
• Support clinical governance, quality assurance, and service development initiatives
• Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of NCHDs and radiography staff
• Participate in agreed on-call and service rotas in line with consultant contracts
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration (or eligibility for registration) on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland in Radiology
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Radiology
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in paediatric radiology
• Strong clinical leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence
