An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Vascular Surgeon to join the surgical team at University Hospital Galway. This permanent, whole-time post offers a senior clinician the chance to deliver complex vascular care while contributing to teaching, research, and service development within a leading Irish teaching hospital.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level vascular surgical care across elective and emergency services
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team decision-making
• Supervise and mentor NCHDs and surgical trainees
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotas in line with service requirements
• Support undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
• Engage in service planning and development at regional level
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland in Vascular Surgery (or eligibility to be registered)
• Fellowship or equivalent specialist qualification in vascular surgery
• Demonstrated experience at consultant or senior specialist level
• Proven leadership, clinical governance, and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without restriction
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Consultant Vascular Surgeon (Grade 1099) payscales
