The Healthcare Pricing Office is seeking a skilled Data Scientist (Grade VII) to support national healthcare pricing, analytics, and evidence-based decision-making. This is a high-impact analytical role contributing to policy, funding models, and healthcare system sustainability. Flexible blended working arrangements are available in line with HSE policy.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain advanced data models and analytical solutions
• Analyse large, complex healthcare datasets to inform pricing and policy decisions
• Collaborate with clinical, finance, and policy stakeholders nationally
• Develop reproducible data pipelines and dashboards
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques where appropriate
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
• Support governance, data quality, and compliance requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Honours degree (Level 8) or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Demonstrable experience in data analytics, modelling, or data science
• Strong proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, or equivalent
• Experience working with large datasets and data visualisation tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience in healthcare, public sector, or complex organisations is desirable

• Salary in line with HSE Grade VII (0582) consolidated pay scale, effective August 2025
