Dental Care Ireland is seeking a dedicated Dental Receptionist to join its busy Sligo practice. This full-time permanent role offers a friendly and patient-focused working environment with an experienced clinical team. The position requires strong customer service skills, excellent organisational ability, and experience in a medical or clinical reception setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service to all patients
• Greet and register patients daily at the reception desk
• Manage phone and email communications
• Support patients with appointment queries and reassurance regarding treatment
• Handle and record patient complaints in line with company procedures
• Perform daily cash-up tasks
• Manage the appointment book for clinicians
• Support clinical staff by sending prescriptions, referral letters and x-rays
• Conduct administrative tasks including filing, scanning, lodgements and postage
• Maintain spreadsheets for accounts such as cash sheets and trackers
• Carry out key-holder duties
• Assist the Practice Manager in delivering agreed KPIs
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year experience as a receptionist in a medical or clinical setting (dental experience preferred)
• Competent in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage patient concerns and complaints professionally
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Eligible to work full-time in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• €14.00–€16.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday schedule
