Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a Driver / Porter to join their Galway City services on a permanent part-time basis. This role supports patient and client transport while ensuring safe, respectful, and reliable assistance across services.

This opportunity is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is offered under a Section 38 publicly funded organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and clients to and from services and appointments
• Assist clients with mobility and access in line with care plans
• Maintain vehicles to required safety and cleanliness standards
• Carry out porter duties as required within services
• Adhere to health, safety, and infection control policies
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and colleagues
• Complete required records and checks accurately

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence appropriate to the role
• Experience working in a care, support, or transport environment (desirable)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of confidentiality and duty of care
• Flexibility to meet service needs

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Grade: Driver (Patients / Clients Public Roads) 6132
• Contract: Permanent Part-Time (X1PPT 70/78)
• Salary: In line with consolidated health sector pay scales
